It includes both tall and short grasses to produce a lush cover, nesting material, and a stiff house of switchgrass to protect birds against harsh winter weather. A heavy concentration of two attractive, sure-fire wildflowers round out this mix, providing colorful blossoms that support an insect population that's critical for the survival of baby chicks. This mix is hard to beat when you want a premium prairie look that's great for wildlife as well.
